Haute or Hype review: Ladies and gents, this product is Haute! I had the opportunity to play around with these products and create a fun and Legendary lip look. With all of the color choices and textures, creating a legendary lip look was easy! They are full colored glosses! Just one swipe and you can see more pigment than your traditional lip gloss. My only Hype factor is that the darker colors bleed unless properly lined, but that’s definitely something I’m willing to work with!

I love everything vibrant and unicorn-Ish so I created two looks with these lip colors that reflected my unicornality (unicorn personality). For the first look, I used Foiled Brat, a metallic burgundy, Space Case, a metallic Grey, and Iced out, a royal Blue with some glitter and gems to emphasize the juicy-ness of these glosses. I LOVED how these glosses photographed and felt. Iced out  did not last too long but I forgot to line (shame on me)!

When the Iced out faded, I decided to keep the Foiled Brat color but add a more neutral color like Petal Metal, a popular rose gold shade which I ADORE!!! I added some unicornaility to it by placing blue glitter dots and I must say I was OBSESSED with the outcome!!

IMG_9015If you if you haven’t done so by now after reading this review, I say go to Sephora and get these Be Legendary Liquid Lipsticks before they are sold out! They are totally worth it!

Haute or Hype: Glamglow

So, I know I’m not the only one that searches for “miracle potions” for skincare. I was in desperate search for something that would keep my skin looking refreshed and pore free. I’ve also been obsessed with anti-aging and wrinkle reducing products. So I decided to check and research on google and heard about this so-called miracle mask called Glamglow. I was intrigued, but highly skeptical. It claimed to instantly and visibly reduce the appearance of pores, wrinkles and redness. I also read  that this product was created in 2011. How could something so new be so amazing? Wouldn’t you be skeptical? I continued to research this magical mask and found many great reviews on this product. I could not find virtually any bad reviews so I decided to go play with this product.

I went to Sephora (my happy place) to learn more about Glamglow. They scanned the product and it showed me all of the reviews and ingredients. I was still skeptical, especially since the product costs $69, so they gave me a sample. I went home and decided to test this product on my test subject, Philip. Phil has large pores and blackheads on his nose and NOTHING has ever worked on him. I knew he was the perfect candidate for this product and if it worked, I would be amazed.

Phil hates when I “mess” with his nose and reluctantly allowed me to apply the mask on him. Let me tell you, this product looked so gross in packaging but so COOL when on Phil.  Its literally just grey clay like mud. When it dried on Phils nose, you saw EVERY SINGLE PORE that he had on his nose. I could not stop staring! It was so stinking cool! It also allowed Phil to realize that he really did have a lot of pores and needed to take care of his nose. When he rinsed off the mask, let me tell you, it was REDICULOUS! I had NEVER seen Phils nose so clear! I was in shock! Phil was in shock! He demanded I go back to Sephora and buy Glamglow! I did just that.  There are three different types of Glamglow but I bought the Youthmud expholiating mask. I used it on myself and it felt amazing! I have most of my pores on my forehead and when Phil and I washed the mask off, we looked like we were Photoshopped!

This product is definitely a HAUTE product for me! I don’t think Phil and I can live without it. I have never used a skincare product that worked so fast and efficiently on the both of us! I would 100 percent recommend Glamglow to everyone I know, especially if you need a fast fix for a special event! Thats actually what it was created for. Glamglow was created by Glenn and Shannon Dellimore for their actor friends that needed a quick fix before a red carpet event and now its Elle magazines number one beauty obsession. I totally see why because it is now my latest obsession!!

If you have any other product that you are wondering if its HAUTE or HYPE, please let me know in the comments and I’ll check it out!!!

My venture into Youtube land!!!!

So, I finally did it. I took the plunge and started my very own Youtube channel!!!! The name of my channel is YesieMarie and I will be giving you my version of makeup tutorials and beauty reviews. I was beyond nervous about starting my venture into youtube land, yet way more excited at the same time.  I’m trying to live my life in a way where I stop being afraid or hold back, and start taking action and have some fun! Starting a youtube channel and doing tutorials was something I had always wanted to do, but held back. Until now that is!

My first video is a blue smokey eye tutorial. I decided that I wanted to do a full face look for this first video so you all can get a feel of how I like to do my makeup. I had so much fun shooting this video.  Here are a few glimpses of my look and video.(Heres the direct link for the video http://youtu.be/7bdqgh1aufM ).

I primed my face with benefit’s POREfessional, and I used Mac’s studio fix foundation in NW20, Mac’s pro-Longwear concealer in NW25. I used L’oreal true match powder in w5 to set the foundation, mac’s definitely defined extra dimension skin finish as a highlight and Glorify as a contour.

The eye shadows that I used for this look were, darkhorse, naked, and buck from the urban decay naked palette (the first one), Alluvium pure pigment by Illamasqua, darkside eyeshadow by mac, and virgin eyeshadow from the naked palette as well to add highlight under the eyebrow and by my tearduct. Marks get in line liquid eyeliner, l’oreal voluminous million lashes mascara and benefit’s they’re real mascara. On the lips, I used Mac’s faux lipstick and nymphette lip gloss.

I also wanted to show you guys the images for my next tutorial so, here they are!!

I also want to take this time to thank my Philly bear for all of his hard work in editing my videos as well as supporting me and pushing me to step out of my comfort zone and try something that I’ve always wanted to try. Thanks to my parents for all of their support, and a special shout out to my best friends Dominick Provino and Kristina Bannerman (soon to be Provino) for creating my youtube song! Please keep checking out my channel youtube.com/yesiemarie for more videos and don’t forget to like, subscribe and share the Yesie Marie Love!! Thanks a bunch and keep coming back for more!!!
